Rider Seriously Injured in Stockton Bicycle Accident at Alpine and Franklin Avenues

Stockton, California (December 15, 2020) – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening at an intersection in Stockton, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The major-injury collision happened at around 6:17 p.m. Monday, December 14, at the intersection of Alpine and Franklin avenues.
As per the CHP report, the bicyclist was hit by a black Mercedes at the Stockton intersection for undetermined reasons.
Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Stockton Crash
First responders arrived at the scene and found the bicycle rider suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash. The patient was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The No. 2 eastbound lane of the road was closed due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
