Napa, California (December 15, 2020) – Two people were hurt in an alleged DUI hit-and-run accident at an intersection in Napa last week on Friday night, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The 8:40 p.m. crash took place at Highways 29 and Highway 12 on December 11.

A vehicle driven by 28-year-old Baldemar Bermudez, northbound on Highway 29, rear-ended a car that had stopped at the intersection with Highway 12.

A third vehicle of unspecified make and built was also involved in the wreck.

Bermudez, who was intoxicated at the time of the collision, did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Napa DUI Crash Injures Two Victims Friday Night

Two unidentified drivers who were struck by Bermudez were hospitalized at Queen of the Valley Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

Bermudez, a Sonoma resident, was later arrested and booked into the Napa County jail for possible charges of felony DUI and felony hit-and-run.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
