Stephanie Faz Identified as Woman Killed in Fresno Big Rig Crash on Chateau Fresno and Highway 180
Fresno, California (September 3, 2020) – Stephanie Faz, 16, of Sanger, has been identified as one of two persons killed in a big rig accident last month in Fresno, according to the Coroner’s Office.
At about 1:40 p.m., on Wednesday, August 20, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly accident on Chateau Fresno and Highway 180.
The CHP said the big rig was headed westbound when it veered to the left directly into the lane of a Chevy SUV, driven by Stephanie Faz. Unfortunately, the two vehicles collided head-on.

Stephanie Faz was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Sadly, Stephanie succumbed to her injuries on Thursday, September 3.
Joe Faz, 68, of Sanger, who was a passenger in the SUV and a father to Stephanie, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the big rig remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
