Stephani Kopfman Among Several Injured in Burney Car Crash on Highway 299 near Fir Street
Burney, California (May 1, 2019) – Stephani Kopfman, 25, was among several people injured in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening in Burney, as per a local news source.
The accident took place at around 5:12 p.m. April 30, on Highway 299 near Fir Street.
The California Highway Patrol said a forest service vehicle and a Lexus were involved in the crash. A woman driving the Lexus veered into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with the Forest Service truck, a 2008 International.
The impact caused the truck to overturn onto the embankment.
Stephani Kopfman Among Several Hurt in Burney Crash
Kopfman was among the passengers in the truck. Kopfman and seven other people in the truck, including the driver, were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
Two other patients were taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries. Another patient who suffered major injuries was taken to Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
