Stacey Paz Killed in Carmel Accident on Carmel Valley Road at Rio Road
Carmel, California (May 15, 2021) – Stacey Paz of Northridge was killed in a crash that occurred on Friday night in Carmel, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on Carmel Valley Road at Rio Road at about 9:30 p.m. May 14.
According to CHP, a car traveling eastbound on Carmel Valley Road was involved in a non-injury accident.
The two occupants of the vehicle stepped out of the car and shortly after, an eastbound vehicle slammed into the disabled car. The impact pushed the car into two occupants standing outside.
Stacey Paz Killed in Carmel Car Accident
One of the victims, identified as Paz, was pinned under the car. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second victim, identified as Milton Pineda-Vaceres of Northridge, was taken to Natividad Medical Center for treatment.
The other driver was uninjured in the accident.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
