Man In His 30s Killed in Spring Valley Pedestrian Accident on Sweetwater Springs Boulevard near Monte Vista High School
San Diego County, California (January 18, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in Spring Valley, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 17 in front of Monte Vista High School at 3230 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard.
As per the report, the male pedestrian was in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and complied with investigators.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, died in the accident. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of his relatives.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
Sweetwater Springs Boulevard between Austin Drive and Loma Lane was closed while police investigated the accident.
