8 Injured, 2 Critically in South Los Angeles Car Accident on East Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard near Main Street

South Los Angeles, California (June 3, 2020) – Eight people, including a Los Angeles Police Department officer, were injured in a traffic accident in South Los Angeles Wednesday evening, according to a local news source.
Authorities said the crash happened at around 9:50 p.m. in the 100 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Main Street.
As per the report, several vehicles, including a Los Angeles Police Department patrol vehicle, collided on the roadway for unknown reasons.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated the officer who was pinned inside the wrecked police vehicle.
A total of eight people were injured following the crash. Two patients sustained critical injuries and six others had minor injuries.
The names of the injured parties and their condition were not immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
