Two Hospitalized after South Lake Tahoe Crash on Pioneer Trail and Elks Club Drive

South Lake Tahoe, California (October 16, 2020) – Two people were injured Thursday morning in a traffic accident involving a trash truck in South Lake Tahoe, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at around 10:36 a.m. Thursday, October 15, on Pioneer Trail and Elks Club Drive, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, the trash truck was trying to make a right-hand turn onto Elks Club Drive when it rolled over and landed onto its left side on Elks Club Drive.
Two males employees of South Tahoe Refuse (STR) were taken to Barton Hospital with unspecified injuries. Their names and condition were not immediately disclosed.
The intersection was blocked as the crews worked at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
