Man Hospitalized after South Gate Pedestrian Accident at Long Beach Boulevard and Indiana Avenue

South Gate, California (September 17, 2020) – A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday afternoon at an intersection in South Gate, according to authorities.
The major injury pedestrian accident happened at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, September 13, at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.
The authorities said the man was struck by a black Chrysler 300 while attempting to walk across Long Beach Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.

The man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. His name was not immediately disclosed.
The driver involved did stop to render to the victim and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle had black tinted windows, with damage to its driver’s front side and a damaged side mirror.
