Sophia Durgin Suffers Major Injuries in Solano County Crash on Tremont Road near Bulkley Road

Solano County, California (April 19, 2021) – Sophia Durgin, a junior at Davis High School, was seriously injured after being involved in a traffic accident that left one person dead Saturday night in rural Solano County, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly single-vehicle accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, on Tremont Road, just east of Bulkley Road. The rural area is northeast of Dixon and south of Davis.
According to the CHP report, a black Ford Mustang, driven by Ayush Shrestha, 18, was speeding eastbound on Tremont Road when it made unsafe turning movement and veered into a field.
The Mustang then rolled over and came to a stop nearly 40 feet off the road.
Deadly Car Accident on Tremont Road in Solano County
As the Mustang was overturning, Shrestha and the right-back passenger, Jasper Eerkens, 18, a junior at Davis High School, were ejected. Both were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, the CHP said.
According to the CHP, Shrestha was declared dead at the scene while Eerkens was transported to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.
Durgin and the third passenger were transported to Kaiser Vacaville with major injuries.
The CHP believed intoxication played a role in the Solano County collision.
