3 Seriously Injured in Sonoma County Truck Accident on Mark West Springs Road near Riebli Road
Sonoma County, California (February 8, 2019) – Three people were seriously injured Wednesday morning in a traffic collision in Larkfield-Wikiup, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, which was reported at around 9:30 a.m., happened on Mark West Springs Road, just north of Riebli Road.
The CHP said a big rig collided with a passenger vehicle for some reasons on Mark West Springs Road.
Fire crews along with medical team responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped in the wreckage.
Three people were then taken by ambulance to hospitals. Two patients sustained moderate to major injuries in the accident, and the condition of the third victim was not immediately provided.
Reportedly, the tanker rig sustained a leak that required cleanup from road crews. As of 11:10 a.m. both lanes of the roadway were reopened.
The crash remains under investigation by police.
