1 Hospitalized after San Juan Bautista Car Accident on Highway 156 near Monterey Street
San Juan Bautista, California (February 8, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in the area of San Juan Bautista, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The collision happened at around 12:45 p.m. Friday, on eastbound Highway 156, just west of Monterey Street.
As per the report, two vehicles including a Toyota Camry crashed for reasons still under investigation. The Toyota caught fire as a result of the collision.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. One party was transported to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas for treatment of minor injuries. The name of the victim and their current condition was not immediately released.
Authorities blocked lane 1 following the collision.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
