Solano County, CA: Train Crash on Fox Road
At Least 1 Sustained Minor Injuries in Solano County Train Accident on Fox Road near Vacaville

Solano County, California (January 27, 2019) – At least one person sustained minor injuries in a train accident early Sunday morning in unincorporated Solano County, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the CHP, the wreck was reported at about 4:33 a.m. at the Fox Road mainline railroad crossing, which is northeast of Vacaville.
Authorities said for an unknown reason a Honda Accord was hit by a Union Pacific Railroad freight train. The Honda was pushed 100 feet away from the crossing, which has two tracks.
The driver of the Honda, who was a sole occupant, was taken to Kaiser Medical Center in Vacaville with minor injuries. The name of the patient and their condition at this time remained unknown.
The Honda sustained major front-end damage.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
