Woodland, California (January 27, 2019) – Authorities have identified one of the injured victims in a traffic accident that occurred Friday morning in Woodland as Bonnie Zentner, 57, of Esparto.

The deadly wreck happened at around 6:50 a.m. Friday, January 25 near county roads 19 and 92.

The CHP said a 1996 Honda was traveling westbound on County Road 19 when it crossed over a double-yellow solid line in an attempt to pass a 1996 Chevrolet that was traveling westbound.

The Honda ended up colliding head-on with an eastbound Ford driven by Zentner. The force of the impact caused the Ford to crash into the Chevrolet.

Paramedics responded to the scene and took both the driver and a female passenger in the Honda to Kaiser Health Care in Vacaville. Authorities said the passenger later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital while the driver survived.

Zentner also sustained unspecified injuries in the crash. Jesus Morales, 40, who was the driver of the Chevrolet, was not injured.

The name of the deceased has not been released pending identification and notification of family.

The crash remains under investigation.
