Several Hurt in Siskiyou Crash on Interstate 5

Siskiyou, California (April 5, 2021) – Moderate injuries were sustained after an unspecified vehicle crashed with a DUI driver, 34-year-oldJeremy Strong, on April 1 in Siskiyou.
The wrong way head-on collision occurred on Interstate 5 just south of Highway 96.
The accident happened when Jeremy, who was driving a Honda Odyssey along the freeway, threw a glass object at a CHP officer who had stopped to help a driver with a flat tire along the interstate. The patrol officer then pursued the Honda operator, who exited at the Ditch Creek offramp and headed south on the northbound side of I-5.
Jeremy Strong ended up colliding head-on with another automobile just south of Highway 96.
2 Vehicles involved in Siskiyou Crash
The victims riding in the vehicle hit by Strong sustained moderate injuries following the wreck.
Jeremy was treated for minor injuries by paramedics. He was later arrested and booked into Siskiyou County Jail on suspicion of evading police and being a wrong-way driver, hit and run causing death or injury, being under the influence of a controlled substance.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
