67-Year-Old Simi Valley Man Killed in Calaveras County Accident on Railroad Flat Road near Piney Lane
Calaveras County, California (November 6, 2020) – A 67-year-old Simi Valley man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon in Calaveras County, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened just after noon, on November 5, on Railroad Flat Road, north of Piney Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford F-250 pickup truck, operated by the Simi Valley man, was driving southbound when it drifted off of the roadway onto an embankment, causing it to overturn and land on its roof.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the 67-year-old man still trapped in his vehicle.
Fatal Single-Vehicle Accident on Railroad Flat Road
Sadly, the 67-year-old Simi Valley man, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
