Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt in Simi Valley Crash at First Street and Los Angeles Avenue
Simi Valley, California (July 10, 2021) – Major injuries were reported in a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle in Simi Valley on Friday afternoon, according to the Simi Valley Police Department.
The crash happened at around 1:15 p.m. July 9, on First Street and Los Angeles Avenue.
The motorcyclist was exiting a shell gas station in the area when he entered northbound First Street and into the path of a northbound Volkswagen Tiguan SUV.
Motorcycle Rider Seriously Injured in Simi Valley Crash
The motorcyclist, a 69-year-old Arroyo Grande man, was taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks with critical injuries.
The SUV’s driver, a 17-year-old Simi Valley girl, was uninjured.
Authorities closed the intersection for hours for the investigation.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation.
