Woman Killed, 2 Hurt in Crash on Conejo Avenue and Fowler Avenue in Selma

Selma, California (March 23, 2019) – A woman was killed while two others, including a child, were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Friday evening in Selma, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported around 4:15 p.m. March 22, on Conejo Avenue and Fowler Avenue.

Authorities said a black sedan driven by a woman was traveling north on Fowler Avenue and had a child in the car. A Chevy Malibu was in front of the sedan and tried to make a U-turn, causing a southbound Silverado to swerve in an attempt to avoid the Chevy. The Silverado then collided head-on with the black sedan.

Woman Killed in Selma Car Crash

The driver of the black sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Her child was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The driver of the Silverado also sustained minor injuries and was taken to Selma Hospital for treatment.

The collision is still under investigation.
