Saul Ceja ID’d as Person Injured in Kings County Crash on Highway 198 near 2nd Avenue

Kings County, California (January 13, 2021) – Saul Ceja, 51, of Armona, was injured after being involved in a traffic accident that left a woman dead last week Tuesday in Kings County, according to a local news source.
The crash happened shortly before 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, on Highway 198 near 2nd Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, a 1998 Toyota, driven by Ceja, was heading westbound on Highway 198 when, for unknown reasons, the Toyota was struck from behind by a 2017 Hyundai driven by Rayshon Espirito, 27, of Visalia.
As a result of the crash, the Toyota rolled over several times and landed on its left side.
A 56-year-old woman also from Armona, who was riding as a passenger in the right-front seat of the Toyota, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of her relatives.
Ceja was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in unknown condition.
Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
