Santa Ynez Valley, California (May 22, 2021) – Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a traffic accident in the Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Barbara County, according to a local news source.

The crash, which involved two vehicles, was reported just after 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, in the 1500 block of Alamo Pintado Road.

A white GMC Terrain collided with a white Alfa Romeo on Alamo Pintado Road, as per the local news report. Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage following the crash.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and provided medical aid to two people who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the accident.

As per the report, at least one of the patients was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The names and conditions of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

The Alamo Pintado Road was closed due to the wreck.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
