Santa Rosa, California (February 3, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision that took place in the area of Santa Rosa at around 7:00 p.m. February 2, sent a female party to the hospital, a local news source reported.

The major injury collision involving a four-door sedan and a dark-colored SUV took place on Sunday night at the intersection of Highway 12 and Boas Drive.

The circumstances that lead to the collision of the two vehicles at the intersection were not immediately released at the time of the report.

Firefighters responded at the site shortly after the wreck and extricated a female operator of the sedan who was pinned in the wreckage upon the impact.

Woman Seriously Injured After 2 Vehicles Crashed in Santa Rosa 

The unidentified woman was hospitalized with major injuries sustained in the accident.

Meanwhile, there were no other victims hurt following the mishap.

The crash resulted in the closure of westbound Highway 12 for an unknown time. 

Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is underway.
