Man Killed in Lodi Pedestrian Crash on West Lodi Avenue
Lodi, California (February 3, 2020) – A man suffered fatal injuries after a deadly pedestrian collision on Sunday evening in the area of Lodi, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The fatal crash happened in the 800 block of West Lodi Avenue at around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, February 2.
As per the report, a vehicle struck a man on the roadway for reasons still under investigation.
Deadly Pedestrian Crash Claims Man’s Life
The man was declared dead at the crash site. The name of the deceased person was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.
Officials confirmed that the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
The roadway was closed briefly after the accident.
An investigation is underway.
