Santa Rosa, CA: Major Injury DUI Accident on Highway 101 near Todd Road; Anthony Lopez Arrested
2 Injured in Santa Rosa Crash on Highway 101 near Todd Road
Santa Rosa, California (April 8, 2020) – Two people were injured and a suspected DUI driver arrested following a traffic collision that occurred on Monday night in Santa Rosa, according to the CHP.
The crash happened at around 10:50 p.m. April 6, on Highway 101, just north Todd Road.
According to the CHP, Anthony Garcia Lopez, 23, of Rohnert Park, was driving a silver BMW sedan southbound on Highway 101 when he slammed into the center median. Shortly after, a white Honda Civic crashed into the sedan and Lopez, who had exited his vehicle.
Two Injured, Anthony Lopez Arrested after Santa Rosa Crash
Lopez sustained serious injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
