17-Year-Old Boy Killed in Santa Rosa Car Crash on Fulton Road near Guerneville Road
Santa Rosa, California (April 17, 2021) – A head-on collision has claimed the life of a 17-year-old driver Friday morning in western Santa Rosa, authorities said.
The deadly accident was reported at around 7:25 a.m. Friday, April 16 on Fulton Road, just south of Guerneville Road.
According to the authorities, the 17-year-old Santa Rosa teen was driving a Toyota 4Runner northbound on Fulton Road at approximately 50 mph in a 45-mph zone when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the vehicle to drift into the southbound lane, where it collided head-on with a large flatbed truck.

The 17-year-old teen was trapped inside the wrecked vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the fatal Santa Rosa crash.
The southbound lanes of Fulton were blocked at Guerneville Road during the investigation. Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.
