Santa Maria, CA: 1 Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 101
One Hospitalized after Santa Maria Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 101 near Main Street

Santa Maria, California (June 22, 2021) – One person was hospitalized Tuesday morning following a wrong-way, hit-and-run crash in Santa Maria, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision, which involved two vehicles, occurred shortly after 5:00 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near Main Street.
The CHP said a Ford Focus was traveling the wrong way on the southbound side of Highway 101 when it collided with a Honda Civic.
Car Crash on Highway 101 in Santa Maria Sends 1 to Hospital
The Civic driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. The name of the patient and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the Focus fled on foot after the collision. There was no description of the suspect.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
