Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Santa Cruz Accident on Soquel Drive near Highway 1
Santa Cruz, California (February 18, 2019) – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a traffic crash in Santa Cruz, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck happened at around 3:25 p.m. Sunday, February 17 in the 1555 block of Soquel Drive near Highway 1.
According to the CHP, the motorcyclist was hit by a vehicle on Soquel Drive for an undetermined reason.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries in the accident. The victim was then taken to a hospital.
The name of the rider and their condition were not immediately available.
It was immediately unclear whether or not the driver involved remained at the scene after the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
