Woman Critically Injured in Santa Cruz Pedestrian Accident near Cedar and Maple Streets
Santa Cruz, California (June 7, 2019) – A woman was hospitalized with major injuries after a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday night in Santa Cruz, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department.
The crash took place in the area of Cedar and Maple streets just after 7 p.m. June 5.
Police said a woman was found pinned beneath a vehicle whose driver had fled the scene after the collision.

Firefighters and paramedics freed the victim and transported her to a hospital in critical condition.
Police received tips from some witnesses and after conducting a search in the neighborhood, they were able to catch two Hispanic male suspects. One of them was found to the be the registered owner of the involved vehicle.
Police are still working to determine what caused the crash and to identify the driver of the vehicle.
