At Least One Seriously Injured in Santa Cruz 3-Vehicle Crash at Highway 17 and Vine Hill Road
Santa Cruz, California (October 24, 2018) – At least one person was hospitalized with major injuries Thursday night following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 17 in Santa Cruz, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at about 8:03 p.m. on northbound Highway 17 at Vine Hill Road.
According to the CHP, a black Nissan, a white Sprinter Van, and a silver Subaru Outback were involved in the crash.
A witness told the police that a party in the Nissan was lying down on the ground, possibly injured.
As per the investigators, one person was transported to Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
All three vehicles were towed away from the scene.
Both southbound lanes were temporarily shut down as crews worked to clear the scene.
No additional information was provided.
The crash is under investigation.
