Santa Barbara, California (March 21, 2020) – A train struck and killed a pedestrian on Saturday morning in downtown Santa Barbara, according to the authorities.

The deadly crash happened at about 7 a.m. in the area near Montecito Street.

According to Santa Barbara police, a southbound Amtrak train struck a pedestrian in the area for unknown reasons.

The victim, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash caused a delay in the train services as the investigation was conducted.
