Santa Barbara, California (September 6, 2020) – Three people were hospitalized Sunday afternoon following a traffic crash in Santa Barbara, according to authorities.

The crash was first reported at about 1:30 p.m. on Highway 154, approximately one mile up from Foothill and Cathedral Oaks roads.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue SUV collided head-on with a red sedan on Highway 154. As a result of the crash, both vehicles sustained major front ends damage.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated three parties who were trapped in the wreckage. All patients were then taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, one with major injuries and two with moderate injuries.
