6 Hospitalized after Major San Rafael Crash on Highway 101 and Freitas Parkway
San Rafael, California (September 30, 2019) – Six persons were hospitalized after a traffic collision Monday afternoon in the area of San Rafael, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 4:38 p.m. Monday, on northbound Highway 101, just north of Freitas Parkway on-ramp.
As per the CHP officials, two vehicles crashed head-on for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. A total of six people were transported to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries sustained in the crash. The names of the injured parties and their current condition were not immediately released.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
The vehicles were blocking lane 1 and 2 following the crash. The roadway was opened as of 6:10 p.m.
No additional details regarding this crash were provided.
