San Pasqual Valley, California (August 16, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon in a traffic accident in San Pasqual Valley, the northernmost community of San Diego, according to authorities.

The deadly crash happened at around 1:40 p.m. on state Route 78 near San Pasqual Academy.

Authorities said a 65-year-old man was riding his 2020 Harley Davidson eastbound on state Route 78 when, for unknown reasons, he drifted across the double yellow line and collided head-on with a 1997 Ford F250 driven by an 88-year-old man.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver and a passenger in the pickup were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

No other details about the crash were immediately provided.
