San Mateo, CA: CHP Investigating Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 101
1 Hospitalized after San Mateo Car Crash on Highway 101 near Poplar Avenue On-Ramp
San Mateo, California (September 13, 2020) – One person was hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident that happened Sunday afternoon on Highway 101 in San Mateo, the California Highway Patrol said.
Three vehicles collided at about 3:36 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway just south of Poplar Avenue on-ramp.
The manner of the crash remained unknown, but a red Jeep involved overturned onto its side. A silver Lexus was also involved in the crash, and a third unknown car that fled after the accident.
One person was transported to Stanford Medical Center to treat minor injuries.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
