Man Killed in San Marcos Crash on Highway 78 near Twin Oaks Valley Road
San Marcos, California (January 4, 2021) – A 69-year-old man from Vista was killed in a rollover accident on Monday in San Marcos, authorities said.
The deadly single-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 78 near Twin Oaks Valley Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a silver 2000 Mercedes-Benz ML320 made an abrupt lane change on the highway.
Unfortunately, the Mercedes-Benz reportedly lost control, drifted over to the right shoulder and off the freeway onto Industrial, where it overturned.
Man Killed in Highway 78 Crash
Sadly, the 69-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
