Minor Injuries Sustained in Pleasanton Semi-Truck Crash on 580 Freeway near 680 Freeway
Pleasanton, California (January 5, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol says minor injuries were sustained when three vehicles collided Monday morning in Pleasanton.
A semi-truck and two other vehicles collided at about 5:17 a.m. on westbound 580 Freeway, just east of the 680 Freeway connector.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 3, 4, 5, 6, and part of No. 7 lanes following the crash.
The report said an unknown number of parties suffered minor injuries. It was not clear if any victim was hospitalized.
Nails spilled from one of the vehicles and were all over the roadway. A sweeper was needed to clean the area.
The report did not mention the cause of the crash, but CHP is investigating.
