1 Killed in San Leandro Car Accident on Interstate 880 near Highway 238
San Leandro, California (March 20, 2020) – One unidentified person died following a multi-vehicle accident that happened in the area of San Leandro Thursday night, according to authorities.
The fatal multi-vehicle crash was reported on March 19 along southbound I-880 lanes, just north of the Highway 238 interchange.
The accident involved several cars that collided on the roadway at around 9:20 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol did not immediately disclose the circumstances that lead to the collision.
1 Killed After Several Vehicles Crashed in San Leandro
Sadly, one person died in the wreck.
There were no other victims injured following the mishap.
The crash resulted in the closure of Nos. 4 and 5 lanes as the investigation and cleanup took place.
The CHP is still investigating to identify the cause of the accident.
