37-Year-Old Man Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Story Road near Karl Street
San Jose, California (December 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night in East San Jose, according to police.
The fatal accident happened at about 10:09 p.m. Saturday, December 7 on Story Road near Karl Street.
Authorities said the pedestrian, only identified as a 37-year-old man, was walking in traffic lanes on Story Road when he was hit by a black Hyundai sedan that was traveling eastbound.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the Hyundai stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
