San Jose, CA: Minor Injury Crash on Interstate 280 near Meridian Avenue Off-Ramp

San Jose, California (February 24, 2021) – Authorities are investigating after a minor injury accident happened Wednesday morning on Interstate 280 in San Jose.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash involved two vehicles and occurred at about 11:06 a.m. in the southbound lanes, just north of Meridian Avenue off-ramp.

A driver of a red Subaru Forester called authorities reporting the accident. The driver said a male party was lying on the ground and a school bus was parked behind several other vehicles but did not appear to be involved in the accident.

Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1, 2 and 4 lanes. The firefighters said the school bus was in the No. 4 lane.

An unknown number of parties suffered minor injuries in the crash. An ambulance was requested to offer the victims medical aid.

A silver Honda Accord and a red Chrysler were towed away with crash damage.

CHP is investigating the incident.
