Minor Injuries Sustained in Bakersfield Crash on Oswell Street and College Avenue

Bakersfield, California (February 24, 2021) – At least one person was hurt in a traffic collision that happened Wednesday morning in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 11:14 a.m. on Oswell Street, just north of College Avenue.
A black Kia Optima collided with a truck with a landscaping trailer. The truck was possibly parked at the time of the accident.
The Kia was smoking after the impact.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help at least one person who complained of pain. No one was hospitalized following the accident.
The northbound lanes of Oswell, just north of College, remained closed as investigators worked the scene.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
