San Jose, California (March 2, 2019) – A woman died after she was struck by a pickup truck at a San Jose airport on Monday afternoon.

According to a report by the San Jose Police Department, the accident occurred at about 1:10 p.m. February 25, on the first floor of Terminal B parking garage at the Mineta San Jose International Airport.

Police said the 62-year-old woman was pushing a luggage cart westbound through the garage when she was hit by a 2018  Ford F-150. The truck, driven by a 29-year-old man, had just cleared the entrance and was traveling southbound when it struck the woman.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead on Thursday, March 1.

Police said the driver remained at the scene after the crash.

Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be involved in the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
