68-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in Rolando Pedestrian Accident at 71st Street and El Cajon Boulevard
Rolando, California (March 2, 2019) – A 68-year-old man sustained major injuries when he was struck by a car in the Rolando area of San Diego on Friday afternoon, according to San Diego police.
The accident happened at about 1 p.m. March 1, in the area of 71st Street and El Cajon Boulevard.
Police said the man was crossing El Cajon Boulevard to the north when an eastbound 2009 Honda Fit struck him.
Medics responded to the incident and transported the man to a local hospital with life-threatening trauma.
The identities of the pedestrian and the driver involved were not immediately released.
The crash is under investigation.
