San Jose, CA: Fatal Fiery Big Rig Crash on Highway 101
Fatal Injuries Reported in San Jose Crash on Highway 101 near Highway 85
San Jose, California (March 18, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday night fiery big rig accident that resulted in fatal injuries in San Jose.
The fatal accident occurred at about 11:44 p.m., March 17, on northbound Highway 101 near the junction of Highway 85.
According to the CHP, an SUV collided with a big rig on the highway for undetermined reasons.
Following the collision, the SUV reportedly became stuck under the trailer of the big rig. Witnesses told the officials that flames then erupted from the engine of the SUV
Fatal injuries were reported in the accident.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
