San Jose, CA: Fatal Car Accident on Highway 85
Man Killed in San Jose Crash on Highway 85 near Cottle Road Off-Ramp

San Jose, California (March 22, 2021) – A man was killed Sunday night in a traffic accident in San Jose, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The deadly crash was reported shortly before 8:05 p.m. Sunday, March 21, on southbound Highway 85, just north of the Cottle Road exit.
According to the CHP, at least two cars collided for unknown reasons in the southbound lane of Highway 85.
A man was thrown from one of the vehicles upon the impact and died at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
At least one lane of Highway 85 was blocked due to the crash.
The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the CHP’s San Jose office at 408-961-0900.
