15-Year-Old Girl Dies after San Jose Bike Crash at Bernal Road and Highway 101
San Jose, California (March 27, 2020) – A teen has died following a bicycle accident that occurred last Friday night in San Jose, according to the authorities.
The crash took place at about 10:30 p.m. March 20, on Bernal Road and Highway 101.
According to San Jose police, the 15-year-old girl was riding a bicycle when she traveled across Bernal Road on a red light and collided with a 1999 Toyota 4Runner heading east.
Teen Killed in San Jose Bicycle Crash
The girl was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased at a later date. Her identity has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
Drugs were suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
