Skateboard Rider Injured in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on Valencia Street
San Francisco, California (October 6, 2020) – A skateboarder was injured after being struck by a San Francisco Police Department patrol vehicle during a pursuit of an armed robbery suspect in San Francisco Tuesday evening, authorities said.
The accident happened at around 6:08 p.m. in the 1200 block of Valencia Street.
According to the authorities, the San Francisco police were pursuing the robbery suspect when their patrol vehicle struck the skateboard rider.
Skateboarder Injured in San Francisco Accident on Valencia Street
The skateboarder, only identified as a male victim, was treated at the scene for his injuries by responding paramedics. He was not hospitalized for further treatment, authorities said.
The police terminated the chase after the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
