Man In His 20s Dies in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on U.S. Highway 101 at Rengstorff Avenue

San Francisco, California (March 25, 2019) – A man in his 20s was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night in San Francisco, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The tragic accident, which was reported at around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, happened on U.S. Highway 101 at the Rengstorff Avenue interchange.
According to the CHP, the man was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 at the Rengstorff Avenue interchange when he was hit by a vehicle.
Man Dies in Pedestrian Collision in San Francisco
The man, believed to be a transient living in the area, was transported to Stanford Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending identification of family.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
