San Francisco, California (September 19, 2019) – A 17-year-old boy was injured after a suspected hit-and-run collision  on Tuesday morning at an intersection in Bayview District neighborhood, San Francisco, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at around 9:13 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, at La Salle Avenue and Cashmere Street.

As per the report, the teenager was crossing at the junction when he was hit by a car for reasons still under investigation.

Emergency crews along with medical personnel attended to the teenager who was suffering from non-life threatening injuries due to the collision. The teenage boy was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The patient’s name and their current condition were not immediately released.

Officials confirmed that the car driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene after the crash.

Officials are still searching for the suspect.

An investigation is underway.
