San Francisco, CA: 3 Hurt in End-of-Pursuit Crash at Fillmore and Waller Streets

San Francisco, California (November 19, 2020) –  One civilian and two officers were injured after a police chase ended in a traffic collision at an intersection in the Lower Haight neighborhood of San Francisco Thursday morning, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Fillmore Street and Waller Street.

As per the report, the pursuit began in the area of Castro and Market Streets. The police were chasing a suspect in a blue Honda compact.

When the suspect approached Fillmore Street and Waller Street, they failed to stop and crashed into the garage of a house. The police vehicle reportedly struck a hydrant.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the Honda driver who was trapped in the wreckage. The medics then took the suspect to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two police officers were also transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
