San Diego Man Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Highway 94 in Spring Valley
27-Year-Old San Diego Man Killed in Spring Valley Pedestrian Crash on Highway 94 near Cougar Canyon Drive

Spring Valley, California (December 17, 2020) – A construction worker was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday night in Spring Valley, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred just before 10:00 p.m., on December 16, on Highway 94 near Cougar Canyon Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the construction worker, a 27-year-old San Diego man, was directing traffic when a 1996 Lincoln Town Car entered the coned area and hit him.

The man was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver, Arnold Lee Patton, 69, of San Diego, was arrested on DUI and vehicular manslaughter suspicion.
Patton was booked into County Jail for felony DUI causing injury or death and gross vehicular manslaughter.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
