San Diego County, California (July 28, 2021) – Two people, including a firefighter, were injured in a collision involving an off-road vehicle near the Loveland Reservoir in San Diego County on Tuesday night, according to the authorities.

Shortly before midnight, authorities said the firefighter was responding to a fatal rollover ATV accident near Japatul Road when they collided with the off-road vehicle.

The firefighter and a civilian in the second vehicle were both airlifted to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Three people involved in the fatal accident were unhurt.

The incident is under investigation.
